I discovered Solenn Heussaff from one of her famous television commercials. She was so stunning that my jaw dropped when I saw a glimpse of her on television. Then I notice her more often appearing in various commercials.
But what got my respect for Solenn not her work in front of the camera, but out of it. I know she’s a terrific make up artist (yes, I checked her work). Also, a very talented artist. I love her paintings!
Now that she is a mother juggling various businesses while appearing on television while pursuing her crafts and passion, what else could we expect from this amazing person? Let’s look back at the things you may not know about Solenn Heussaff.
Solenn was born as Solenn Marie Adea Heussaff on July 20, 1985 in Makati, Metro Manila to a French father and a Filipino mother. She has two siblings – an older sister Vanessa, and a younger brother Erwan.
She was educated at the Eurocampus which is currently European International School in Paranaque. She then pursued higher education in Studio Bercot in Paris, studying fashion design. IN the same city, she took a 6 month course fashion and beauty makeup at the prestigious L’école Fleurimont. She furthered her study at the make Up Forever Academy.
Solenn began her career as an endorser. With her stunning looks and star power, she endorsed for big brands inside and outside the country. From tunas, pizza chains, sanitary napkin, sodas and hair products- she endorsed it all!
In 2010, she joined the reality show Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown which was filmed in Thailand. Although she was not declared the winner, viewers had a glimpse of her determination and toughness against all the challenges.
Her appearance in Survivor Philippines opened more projects for Solenn. She starred in her first movie, My Valentine Girls, playing the character and love interest of Richard Guttierez in 2011.
She did many projects with GMA Network, from the gag show Bubble Gang, to Eat Bulaga, but she is well known for her appearance in the sultry funny comedy Temptation Island with Marian Rivera, Rufa Mae Quinto, Heart Evangelista and Lovi Poe. Solenn won the New Movie Actress of the Year from the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies for her role in this film.
Some of Solenn’s TV projects with GMA includes Captain Barbell, Legacy, Indio, Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas, Adarna, Ilustrado, Marimar, A1 Ko Sa’yo, The Rich Man’s Daughter, Alyas Robinhood, The One That Got A Way and Love You Two.
Her most memorable role on TV is in the fantasy drama series Encantadia in 2016. As a supporting but memorable cast, she played the multiple roles of Cassiopei-a / Mata / Cassiopeia’s twin / Avria.
Solenn is also a favorite lead actress. Some of her memorable films that we really love include Temptation Island, Seduction, Sosy Problems, Love is Blind, Lakbay 2 Love and My 2 Mommies.
Unknown to many, Solenn is also a recording artist. In 2011, she released her self-titled album. And with that, held her first major concert in August 2011 in the Promenade, Greenhills.
Just two years later, she released her second album SOS on August 2013. The album was awarded platinum. In 2016, she again released another album titled Solenn. In this album, she co-wrote most of her songs.
Solenn had been the host of the lifestyle show Taste Buddies since 2012. She originally hosted besides Isabelle Daza and is now currently hosting with Gil Cuerva. Solenn won the Best Lifestyle Show Host Award in 2017 from the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television for this show.
