It’s Showtime became an even better variety show when they introduced the Hashtags. Not only these men are talented, admit that they are also extremely good looking and charismatic.
McCoy had been under my radar back then but I was converted as a fan as I watch him compete in the reality television show Pinoy Big Brother. Who could have known that the beautiful face has a beautiful soul behind?
Here are some of the things you may not know about that dimpled cutie, McCoy De Leon.
McCoy was born as Marc Carlos Francis de Jesus de Leon on February 20, 1995 in Tondo, Manila. His parents, Mark and Shiela also has another offspring, Shylla. McCoy got his secondary education from the San Sebastian College Recoletos. He was already enrolled for his tertiary degree at the Mapua University, with a major of Civil Engineering but he decided to focus on his career first.
McCoy first entered showbusiness not as an actor but a dancer. He was a member of the Hashtags, an all-male dance group which regularly appears in the noon time show, It’s Showtime. McCoy was a member of that group together with other dancer turned celebrity like Jameson Blake, Ronnie Alonte, Nikko Natividad, Tom Doromal among others..
McCoy joined the reality television show Pinoy Big Borther: Lucky 7 in 2016 together with his fellow groupmate in Hashtag, Nikko Natividad.
After being a finalist on the reality show, McCoy had gained more fans and more projects. Between 2017-2020, he has been appearing as a recurring role in the long running primetime television show Ang Probinsiyano as Juan Pablo Arevalo.
McCoy also appeared in the family, romance, crime, mystery, drama show The Good Son where he is one of the main leads together with Joshua Garcia, Jerome Ponce and Nash Aguas.
McCoy was also in the promising action, drama thriller 24/7. The story revolves around a mother (played by Julia Montes) who would do anything for her son Xavier. The show only had 4 episodes and had to cancel filming due to the outbreak of COVID19.
Walang Hanggang Paalam is one of McCoy’s latest work. It is his first drama series in the Kapamilya Channel. He plays a supporting role – Bernardo Salvador in this series. He worked with acting heavyweights, Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, Arci Muñoz and Angelica Panganiban.
