Things You Didn’t Know About Kim Domingo

Well, who wouldn’t know Kim Domingo and her uber famous dubsmash Twerk It Like Miley? With a combination of sexy, cute, naughty and sweet, she and that simple video took the world by storm.

But beyond that video, one would really giver her a second look. This French-Filipina is such a stunner! Though she started her modeling and showbiz career with a sexy image, she is now transitioning into a reliable actress.

Here are some of the things you may not know about Kim Domingo, whom we missed so much!

EARLY LIFE

Kim was born as Kimberly Domingo Mazon on February 3, 1995 in Quezon City, Philippines. Her father is Guy Belleville, French and her mother is a Filipina- Fina Domingo. She was raised by her grandmother in a very strict upbringing. Kim got her elementary education from the San Agustin Elementary School in Quezon City. She went to Our Lady of Fatima University and studied dentistry.

Social media open the doors for Kim to enter the entertainment industry. Through her dubsmash “Twerk It Like Miley”, she gained prominence all over the country. Thus, in 2015, Kim was signed in as one of GMA Networks talents. Her contract with GMA Network gave her the role of Agatha Samaniego in the television series Juan Happy Love Story in 2016.

In the same year, Kim also appeared in the television drama anthology Karelasyon: Rehas, which was hosted by Carla Abellana. In 2017, she appeared in the drama revenge series D’Originals as Sofia Abella. Kim also was in another drama anthology – Magpakailanman: The Kim Domingo Story, playing herself.

NOTABLE WORKS

Marian Rivera and Kim Domingo

Although relatively new in showbusiness, Kim had already appeared in various shows. Among her notable works is Super Ma’am, a drama, fantasy and action television series which starred Marian Rivera in 2017. Kim played the supporting role of Avenir Segovia/Vera/Mabelle Henerala. She worked with other actors such as Helen Gamboa, Joyce Ching and Kristofer Martin.

Kim also appeared in the television drama romance comedy series Inday Will Always Love You in 2018. Here, she worked with Barbie Forteza, Derrick Monasterio, Ricky Davao and Gladys Reyes. Her last television show so far was in 2019 with the drama horror series Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko. The show starred Kris Bernal, Rayver Cruz, and Megan Young.

Due to her natural talent in comedic acting, she remains a mainstay of the longest-running gag show ‘Bubble Gang’. Our favorite is her ‘Patikim ni Kim’ segment!

MOVIES, MUSIC AND MAGAZINE

Kim had already appeared in two movies so far. Her film debut was in the movie Magtanggol in 2016. A year later, she appeared in the movie Mang Kepweng Returns, a fantasy comedy horror film which stars Vhong Navaro. It is a remake of the original 1979 film Mang Kepweng which starred Chiquito.

In 2016, she released her first single “Know Me” in the album KIM “Kanlungan Isang Mahina”. The song featured international rapper C-Tru. This was released by GMA Records where she signed a recording contract.

Kim had also appeared in twice in FHM Philippines as the cover girl. One in December 2015 and one in January 2017.

If not appearing in television shows and magazine covers, Kim keeps herself busy with uploading videos in her own Youtube account. Here you can see her and her friends doing various challenges, Kim eating tons of food, getting her me-time in among others. Currently channel currently has over six hundred thousand subscribers.

She recently appeared on Regal Studio Presents: Bros B4 Rose, where she played the role of Rose, a girl whom hunk actors Jeric Gonzales and Rob Gomez fancied. I wonder when we’ll we be able to see this pretty lady in a romance-comedy? She’s just too charming!
