EARLY LIFE

David Licauco’s younger years

David was born as David Alexander Sy Licauco on June 15, 1995. Of Filipino – Chinese descent, he started his career as a model and a basketball player.

He finished his high school degree at the Grace Christian College. He got his bachelor’s degree from the De-Lasalle College of Benilde.

CAREER BEGINNINGS

David started his modelling career only for his school’s event posters. He was discovered while vacationing in the popular beach paradise, Boracay. Because of this, he landed a modelling project via Mr. And Ms. Chinatown which was on ABS-CBN. This sole project allowed him to have modelling and acting opportunities with the network.

This was followed by fashion shows with the clothing giant Bench and Cosmopolitan. He was also featured in numerous magazine covers such as Candy Magazine, Chalk Magazine, and Garage Magazine.

BREAKTHROUGH

Although David had been a constant face in fashion shows and magazine covers, he officially debuted in the television series Flordeliza in 2015. This was followed by small roles in Ipaglaban Mo: Sabik, Magpakailanman and Karelasyon in 2016.

Because of this project, he landed consecutive roles in the television series Kapag Nahati Ang Puso and TODA One I Love

MOVIES

Although David focuses mainly on appearing in the small screen, as evidenced by his extensive television show projects, he was also able to make some time to make films for the big screen.

His movie debut was in the blockbuster The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin (as a cameo appearance). He landed his first movie lead role in the film Because I Love You, which was directed by Joel Lamangan. He acted opposite Shaira Diaz.

We are still waiting for the movie release of the barkada film G! LU! where he is joined by equally gorgeous men Ruru Madrid, Derrick Monasterio, Teejay Marquez and Kiko Estrada. Would be nice to watch them onscreen hitting the beach this summer, right?
